Overview

The Foundation Diploma in Traditional Arabic and Islamic Sciences is a comprehensive program that is specifically designed to impart a thorough understanding of the Traditional Arabic language, culture and the Islamic sciences to students.

The program is structured to systematically develop students' language proficiency and provide them with a solid foundation in fundamental Islamic sciences. This program aims to cultivate a holistic understanding of the Arabic language and Islamic tradition, thereby equipping students with the knowledge and skills necessary to engage in advanced study and research in these fields.

Structure

The Foundation Diploma in Traditional Arabic, and Islamic Sciences is a comprehensive, three-year full-time program that runs on an academic calendar, commencing in September and concluding in July, and is divided into three distinct terms. The first term runs from September to December, the second term runs from January to Ramadan, and the third term runs post Ramadan to July.

The program's curriculum is designed to provide students with an intense learning experience, with classes held on a daily basis from Monday to Thursday, from 9:30 am to 2:00 pm. In addition to the scheduled contact hours, students are expected to devote a minimum of 10-12 hours per week to preparation and revision.

The requirements for entry in the program are:
• Good GCSEs or their equivalent
• Fluency in written and spoken English
• All applicants must be over 16 years of age
• Good references

Applicants are expected to be intellectually curious, hardworking, and committed to the aims of the College.

The tuition fee for each academic year is £2,000 for on-site campus students and £2,250 for online students. Once committed to the course, the students can either
pay one lump sum or over three instalments, paid termly.
